The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city, awesome for easy access to various attractions within walking distance.
The bathroom walls are made of glass, which compromises privacy when using the facilities.

friendly helpful staff with 24hr reception, excellent location 5 mins walk from both long distance railway station downhill and metro the other way; so if you want a convenient well priced place to stay and won't be staying too long in the room itself , this is fine
rooms though clean were small [not unusual for Europe] and shabby [ours had leaking ceiling during heavy rain] public areas also seen better days, breakfast [included in price] was fairly basic but adequate for our needs

Had a memorable stay, the hotel is well-kept and good standard.
The room with the balcony. The breakfasts were amazing and adequate with Tea & coffee and fresh croissants, as example and all the staff was accommodating...

Reasons to love it, and reasons not to
Location is superb, with access to attractions and restaurants. The friendly, around-the-clock staff exude warmth, providing valuable local insights.
Rooms display an outdated charm and lack certain amenities, like a mini fridge. The glass-walled bathrooms might not suit everyone's privacy preferences.

The location of the hotel was the best and it was no frills but good enough for our 4 day trip. Would definitely like to stay in the hotel again if we return to Porto.
The breakfast is too basic, perhaps a few more items like toast and eggs can be added. Fresh juice would be nice as well.

The location was very centrally located to major tourist attractions, the metro, and the tourism office. For the price, and the fact that it can be difficult to find decent budget accommodations in busy Porto, my opinion is that this hotel offers a fair deal. If I had to stay there again, I would.

Location superb for exploring attractions. Clean rooms with enough space for comfort.
Lack of noise isolation means hearing everything from neighboring rooms. Bathroom walls are glass, compromising privacy, and blackout curtains aren't effective for sleeping in darkness.

Location, location, location. Plus just a word about the receptionist - her shift was until midnight and I think her name was Lilana. She was exceptional and extremly helpful. She took the time to answer all our questions and help us with tourist information. Wonderful employee!
Having to drag suitcases upstairs.

Rooms are small and pillows hard. Stairs to reception not convenient with heavy baggage.

fantastic central stay for exploring all porto has to offer
I spent two nights in this hotel, and the stay was quite pleasant as it's close to amazing attractions like Cais da Ribeira and the bustling Mercado do Bolhao, both just a short walk away, making every city stroll an enjoyable adventure.

Great hotel that I would highly recommend. Very cheap, excellent central location right on the main square....bang where you need to be. The staff spoke perfect english - very informative and willing to help with anything. Room was very good, clean, spacious. Nice bathroom. Nothing to complain about. Breakfast is served until 11am.....brilliant ! All in all an excellent hotel, brilliant value for money, and I would recommend to anyone.

Nice hotel, located downtown in Porto. Very close to all main monuments and the historic quarter of Ribeira and located very close to the Metro (50 meters walk), all main bus stops and the train station of Sao Bento: really great location to visit the town. We stayed on 3rd floor and the rooms on this floor have been recently renovated, all with air conditioning and tv. Summarizing: great quality/price ratio if you are visiting the town.
The hotel has an elevator but to get to it you have to walk a ramp of stairs to the reception, that is located at the first floor: if you are traveling with heavy luggage, this may be a minor issue. Tv is broadcasting just 4 channels, all in Portuguese. Rooms and beds are small. However, these are minor problems, if you consider the great quality/price ratio and the excellent location.
